Our art teacher is preparing a Chinese New Year project and is looking for gold paint pens. We need about 40 pens by February to make this project possible.

Today’s gem comes from a first grader with very strong opinions about slang history. He walked up to our librarian and asked if she knew who was the first person to say “6–7.” When she said she didn’t, he confidently replied:
“It was God. He made the world in six—almost seven—days, and then rested on the seventh.”
Who knew the most obnoxious trend of 2025 had divine origins?

Today’s moment comes from first grade, where one of our younger students waited for her older sister to come in for lunch. The second she walked in, little sister lit up, ran over for a big hug, and proudly introduced her to everyone at the table — “This is MY sister!” like she was a celebrity.
Sibling pride. Sibling love. And the sweetest reminder that our Buffalo Point kids lift each other up in the best ways.

Teaching Tuesday
This one's looking back, but it's an awesome one. Loveland Aquarium came and presented on ecosystems. Students got to pet a tortoise, observe a gecko, participate in ecosystem simulation, and play an ecosystem game.
