We held our annual staff versus sixth grade kickball game. Thank you so much to Syracuse fire department who joined the staff team. They carried us to a victory. Otherwise those sixth graders would've dominated.

Fun Friday!

As part of their learning about alternative food sources—and writing opinion essays about them—our sixth graders took on a bold challenge this week.

They tried edible worms and crickets.

The verdict?
“They weren’t bad…”

…but the clear class consensus is that they still prefer M&M’s.

Hands-on learning at its finest—fun, brave, and just a little gross.

Our third graders had an incredible Star Camp experience right here at school this week!

A huge thank you to the Douglas Space and Science Foundation for bringing this engaging program to our students. Their staff created a hands-on, high-energy learning experience where students explored Newton’s Laws of Motion and the elements of flight.

To top it off, a “mad scientist” wowed everyone with electrifying static electricity demonstrations—definitely a highlight!

We are grateful for partners who bring science to life and spark curiosity in our students every day.

Teaching Tuesday Part 2 While the girls were at TechHers at the Davis catalyst center, our boys had a day full of stem. Presenters shared cool information about engineering, AI, rockets, etc. Students got to make a launch rockets. Some worked with our kindergartners to do a mini colonial day, writing their name with quill and ink, making a sign for the trade shop, blacksmithing with aluminum foil and making some games. Thank you to our teachers and volunteers who made this experience possible. #TeachingTuesday #BuffaloPoint
